Freeman Technology is pleased to announce the release of ‘Understanding Powder Behaviour in Battery Production’.
Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries are used in a wide range of products due to the fact they have high energy density, resistance to self-discharge, and minimal memory effect. The typical process of producing Li-ion batteries is highly dependent on the quality of the slurry produced at the start of the process which in turn will be dependent on the properties of the powder and how it behaves when mixed with the binder and solvents.
This study illustrates how properties measured using the FT4 Powder Rheometer® can be used to predict in-process performance in the manufacture of batteries.
