Powder testing solutions - visit Freeman Technology at CPhI 2016

Freeman Technology, specialists in providing systems for powder characterisation, will be exhibiting at CPhI China during 21-23 June 2016, at Shanghai New International Expo Center, China on Booth No. N1T28. Experts from Freeman Technology will be available throughout the exhibition and welcome the opportunity to discuss your powder characterization and process performance challenges. Visitors can explore the advantages and possibilities of the industry leading FT4 Powder Rheometer, a universal powder tester, in a variety of powder processing applications.

Visitors will also be able to see a demonstration of the FT4 Powder Rheometer. The FT4 uses patented dynamic methodology, a fully automated shear cell (in accordance with ASTM D7891) and several bulk property tests, including density, compressibility and permeability, to quantify powder properties in terms of flow and processability. The FT4 has applications in a wide range of industries including the pharmaceutical sector. It can help deliver data that maximises process and product understanding, accelerating R&D and formulation towards successful commercialization, and supporting the long term optimization of powder processes.

On 22 June at 10.30am visitors can join a showcase presentation, “Advanced Powder Characterization for Optimization of DPI Formulations and Tabletting Applications”, located in meeting room E1M12, where experts in the field will discuss the development of powders that are conducive to inhalation and tabletting processes and the challenges faced by formulation scientists.

In addition, visitors to Freeman Technology booth will be able to collect copies of recently published educational guides, entitled ‘An Introduction to Powders’, ‘Choosing a Powder Tester’, and ‘The Value of Powder Testing’. The booklets provide a valuable foundation for those with little prior experience with powders, as well as being a useful resource for anyone looking to expand their understanding of the factors relevant to product development and processing performance.
