Freeman Technology, specialists in providing systems for powder characterisation, will exhibit at the 10th Shanghai International Powder Metallurgy Exhibition and Conference during 26 – 28 April 2017, at Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center, Shanghai, China on Booth No. A041.
Visitors will be able to see a demonstration of the FT4 Powder Rheometer®. The FT4 uses patented dynamic methodology, a fully automated shear cell (in accordance with ASTM D7891) and several bulk property tests, including density, compressibility and permeability, to quantify powder properties in terms of flow and processability. The FT4 has applications in a wide range of industries including the powder metallurgy sector. It can help deliver data that maximise process and product understanding, accelerating R&D and formulation towards successful commercialization, and supporting the long term optimization of powder processes.
Experts from Freeman Technology will be available throughout the exhibition and welcome the opportunity to discuss your powder characterization and process performance challenges. Visitors can explore the advantages and possibilities of the industry leading FT4 Powder Rheometer, a universal powder tester, in a variety of powder processing applications.
In addition, visitors to Freeman Technology booth will be able to collect copies of the recently published application note “Powder Rheology in Additive Manufacturing”. The study presents four case studies that demonstrate how the rheological properties of powders can be applied to AM applications to optimise in-process performance, and also illustrate the limitations of single parameter characterization techniques.
